Andersonville's Dessert Crawl: A Halloween Tradition in Chicago

It's October, think Halloween, think candy and sweets. What could be better than a  trek through Andersonville's eclectic collection of restaurants at their 8th annual Andersonville Dessert Crawl to sample the many tastes of fall.

Participants can choose from two routes, each with a dozen different Andersonville favorites:

The Carmel Apple Route

  • First Slice Pie Cafe Apple streusel pie bites
  • Hamburger Mary's Fried Twinkies and fruit cobbler
  • Let Them Eat Chocolate Choice of one gourmet Belgian chocolate or sample-sized portion of all-natural gelato
  • Pauline's Apple cranberry stuffed french bread pudding & ice cream
  • Potbelly Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, chocolate brownies
  • Ranalli's of Andersonville Assorted cheesecakes & toppings
  • Svea Restaurant Swedish Rice Pudding
  • Swedish Bakery, Inc. Swedish butter cookies
  • Taste of Lebanon Baklava
  • Urban Orchard French pastries from Éclair Bakery + Sheekar baklava
  • Vincent Banana pot de crème with butterscotch shortbread
  • The Wooden Spoon Chocolate cream-filled cupcakes

Candy Corn Route

  • Andies Restaurant Pomegranate cheesecake
  • Big Jones Chocolate divinity
  • Fireside Restaurant New Orleans banana bread pudding and wild cherry mousse
  • George's Ice Cream & Sweets Seasonal ice cream, pastries and chocolates
  • Kopi Cafe Mini cheesecake squares
  • M Henry TBA
  • My Private Chef Pumpkin mousse with ginger cookie garnish
  • Swedish Bakery, Inc. Swedish butter cookies

Tickets and information

The Dessert Crawl will take place on Sunday, October 27 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Headquarters for the Andersonville Dessert Crawl is pH Comedy Productions, 1515 W.
