Bon Appétit magazine's Chicago Gourmet, now in its sixth year, has become a hot ticket even with its pricy admittance fee. This year, with an even more ambitious menu including late night gourmet, smackdowns, seminars, more food and more chefs--over 175--everything was a sellout with people begging to get in along with some gate crashers who were quickly escorted out.
Chicago Tribune food critic Phil Vettel called Chicago Gourmet "The Disney World of food and wine" explaining "there are so many things to experience that you can't possibly get to them all."
