Chicago Restaurant Week 2013 Extends Dates for More Than 60 Restaurants.

CHICAGO, Sunday, February 10, 2013. Procrastinators will be given a second chance to participate in this year's Chicago Restaurant Week.  Since February 1, diners have been getting prix-fixe bargain offerings from over 250 of the city's top restaurants during the sixth annual Chicago Restaurant Week. The "week" was scheduled to end today.  For some that is true, but over 60 others have extended their specials. Most extensions will go through Wednesday, February 13 or if extended further will not include the popular Valentine's Day holiday so you may want to celebrate the big day before or after the 14th.

Some of the city's most notable chefs will offer their menus at a discount, and guests will have an opportunity to taste dishes created by Chef/Partner Lee Ann Whippen of Chicago q, and Executive Chef and Food Network's Chef Hunter winner Dan Marquis of Quay Restaurant & Bar, among others.

Some of the special menus include Boar Chops from Frontier Executive Chef Brian Jupiter and Duck Rillete and Brown Butter Crepes from LM Bistro. Porkchop will let customers choose from over 10 entrees including Southern Fried Chicken, Porkchop on Maque Choux and Blackened Chicken on Jambalaya. The prix-fixe meals will be $22 lunch and $33 or $44. for dinner.
