CHICAGO, January 3, 2013. Choose Chicago announced today that reservations are now open for the 6th annual Chicago Restaurant Week. The popular culinary celebration will feature more than 250 restaurants throughout the Chicago area, including more than 25 new participating restaurants.
The 10-day dining celebration will run from February 1 through February 10. Participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner, excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity. Some restaurants will offer the menus at both lunch and dinner while others will offer them at dinner only.
A selection of those restaurants new to Chicago Restaurant Week include Balsan, bellyQ, Dragon Ranch Moonshine & BBQ, Freds at Barneys New York, Frontier and Nellcote.

As of today, all participating restaurants had openings but if you have a favorite it is best to make your reservations asap as some of the most popular spots fill up fast.
If you want a preview of this year's Chicago Restaurant Week, you may want to attend the kick-off First Bites Bash event. The First Bites Bash will feature both sweet and savory selections from 50 of Chicago’s most celebrated restaurants in the Great Hall at Chicago's Union Station on Thursday, January 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $95.
