Parade for Post-9/11 Veterans.
After every war in modern U.S. history, our nation has honored our Veterans with parades. To mark the one year anniversary of the end of the Iraq War, the Chicago Welcomes the Heroes parade will be held to recognize and honor this current group of Veterans in the same manner. While this parade is dedicated to Post-9/11 Veterans, the entire military community and their families are invited to participate and be honored. The Parade for Post-9/11 Veterans will step off at noon Saturday, December 15. The parade route runs from Columbus Drive between Balbo Drive and Monroe Street in Grant Park.
