Chicago Classical Music Fans:  Free Rush Hour Concert Series Line-up for Summer 2012.

Chicago, Monday, June 4, 2012. Avoid the evening rush and catch your breath before heading home at a Rush Hour Concert. The 13th annual Rush Hour summer concert series kicks off tomorrow evening at the historic St James Cathedral (65 E. Huron).  All concerts start with a pre-concert reception featuring food and beverages at 5:15p.m.  A 30 to 45-minute live classical concert follows the reception at 5:45p.m.

Highlights of this summer's series include the CSO, Brass Quintet and two "Lyric Shorts".  The summer concert series takes place every Tuesday evening tomorrow through August 28, 2012.  Both the reception and the concert are free and no tickets are required.

June 5.
Program:  Brass Highlights Over Four Centuries.
Artists:  Chicago Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet.

June 12.
Program and Artists:  Fifth House Ensemble with participants from the “fresh inc festival”

June 19.
Program:  Antiphonal Splendor from the Renaissance to Today.
Artists:  Axiom Brass Quintet with Chicago Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet Chris Martin.
