Chicago Bike to Work Week 2012: June 11-June 15, 2012.

Chicago Bike to Work Week 2012: June 11-June 15, 2012.

Chicago, Monday, June 11, 2012. No need to feed the meter or fill up the tank if you follow the lead of many by biking to work this week. Chicago, recognized as one of the most “bicycle-friendly” cities in the nation, kicks off its 22nd annual Bike to Work Week today with just the right amount of events and activities to keep you spinning.

Did you know that riding your bike can help displace more than 238 million gallons of gasoline annually and reduce the amount of volatile pollutants released by vehicle emissions?  Choose the economic and healthy alternative and become a bike commuter for the week--and who knows it may become a habit.
