Chicago, Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Looking for a mid-week reprieve..or a way to gently slide down hump day? Rhapsody's Uncorked wine tasting may just be your ticket. For $20 per person, not much more than the price of a drink at some establishments, you can sip 10--count them--10 wines and sample signature mini-bites as you sip/slip away in the Rhapsody lounge.
The second Wednesday of each month, Rhapsody hosts Wednesday: Uncorked, an ever-changing and fun wine tasting event that features small bites along with ten carefully selected wines. Today's tasting will feature obscure and uncommon wines. 5:30-7:30p.m. 65 East Adams Street (Below the Adams and Wabash el stop). RSVP at 312 786 9911.
Can't make tonight, quit whining and put it on your calendar for another month--after all there is one second Wednesday in every month. Here are the themes for the next three months--same times, same place:
October – Wednesday, October 12 – Brown Bag Taste Challenge – blind wine-tasting/competition.
November – Wednesday, November 9 – Big, Bold & Spicy wines from Italy, California and Washington.
December – Wednesday, December 14 – Vertical Vintages.
