Ladies and Gentlemen and Children of all ages get ready for the greatest show of its kind under the big top at Chicago's United Center. Cirque Du Soleil's new production OVO brings 54 performing artists from 16 countries together in a spectacular dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment for a limited engagement from Wednesday, June 29, 2011 through Sunday, July 31, 2011.
Hold your breath as the flying trapeze soars taking six flyers up, up, up and away 40-feet high in the sky. View amazing feats as 20 artists run, jump and leap up a 24-foot vertical wall. Watch difficult circus disciplines, including banquine, Russian swing and swinging chair.
The new production, directed by Deborah Colker, the first female director at Cirque du Soleil, OVO, means "egg" in Portuguese. OVO takes the audience on a headlong rush into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement. Take a look at the slide show below for a preview of the visually stunning sights that await audiences at this remarkable event.
