2. Climb aboard for a thrilling ride with "Peter Pan."
COMING, April 29, 2011...
A huge tent set up over the Chicago Tribune Company's north side printing plant parking lot will be the setting for the world's first 360-degree flying theatrical spectacular. Peter Pan will fly through the air with the aid of 15,000 square feet of Hi-Resolution video--three times the size of IMAX screens creating a virtual experience where the audience flies along to Neverland with Peter and Wendy. 4. Hungry for "The Big Meal," American Theater Company.
Five generations of an American family gather around the dinner table to explore what life has to offer from its dirty little secrets to its tender and tragic moments in this fast-paced, smart and electrifying new theatrical offering that is already being looked at for a follow-up trip to off-Broadway. 5. "Monty Python's Spamalot," Drury Lane Theatre.
Some critics have called the Drury Lane production of "Monty Python's Spamalot" the best so far. Whether you agree or disagree, the hilarious musical comedy that spoofs the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is exceptionally well done and worth the trip to Oakbrook Terrace.

6. Make it your job to check out "Working," Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place.
"Working," a Chicago original taken from the Pulitzer Prize winning book "Working" by Chicago's beloved author, the late Studs Terkel will open in previews on February 15, 2011. Working is a musical exploration of 26 people from all walks of life that celebrates everyday people and their jobs--very timely in today's economy. Through May 8, 2011.

7. Hurry to catch "Jailbait," Profiles Theatre.
One
of my top 10 picks for 2010, "Jailbait," is still in town but must close February
27, 2011. The story of two 15-year-old girls trying to grow-up too fast
and two 30-something guys not ready to grow up--mixed with alcohol and misadventures is handled in a
sensitive manner turning what could have been a lecherous tale into a story with a very human touch. Now though February 27, 2011.

8. "Ethan Frome," Lookingglass Theatre.
