Chicago Elects a New Mayor.
Chicago, Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was elected mayor of Chicago yesterday with slightly over 55% of the vote. Hopes are high for the former top adviser to two U.S. presidents to rescue Chicago from its financial woes and create unity.
In reference to a high-profile legal challenge to his residency, Emanuel began last night's acceptance speech by declaring "All I can say, you sure know how to make a guy fell at home."
The 51-year-old Mayor-elect, Emanuel will be sworn into office on May 16, 2011 when the real work will commence. Emanuel has found success in almost all he has pursued. Check out his many faces in the slide show below.
