Petterino's, the sophisticated dining establishment in the heart of Chicago's Theater District, is turning 10. They will be celebrating the occasion on Monday, February 7, 2011 with a special three-course prix fixe menu for $10. The selections start with a choice of soup or salad appetizer: Caesar Salad with grana padano cheese; The Fritzel Salad with Boston lettuce, hearts of palm, avocado, tomato, egg and Lorenzo dressing; or Tomato Bisque topped with croutons. The main course offers a choice of Steak Diane with filet medallions and broiled tomato; Chicken Armando with a parmesan crust and asparagus or Shrimp De Jonghe with toasted garlic bread and wilted spinach. The dessert course features a choice of Chocolate Applause Cake with bittersweet chocolate and raspberries or a Pink Peppermint Sundae with homemade fudge sauce or Strawberry Shortcake.

The restaurant recalls the glamour and feel of the 1940s with dining on a grand scale featuring crisp, folded linens, uniformed servers bearing silver trays and framed portraits and caricatures of Chicago legends from the past, present and future. The restaurant was named in honor of legendary Pump Room maitre d' Arturo Petterino who catered to the some the world's most visible stars including Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor.
