Since the return of Chicago Sky superstar Elena Delle Donne, the Sky have gone 2-1 and will face the Atlanta Dream tomorrow at their home court at Allstate Arena - 5pm - be there! First game back for Delle Donne, Sky won against the Washington Mystics 76-65; second game back for EDD, the Sky won 82-66; third game back for Delle Donne, the Sky lost 64-74 against the 2013 WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx. The game against the Lynx could have gone either way as the Sky hung tough until the final quarter when Minnesota stepped on the proverbial gas pedal and outscored the Sky 30-18 leading to the Lynx's 11th straight win. The Sky need to step on the real gas pedal and beat Atlanta to keep their playoff hopes alive as there are not many more games left to the regular season and the Sky season could end way too early for all concerned.

BIG News for WNBA Veteran Becky Hammon - On August 5th, 2014, Hammon was hired by the San Antonio Spurs as an assistant coach, becoming the second female coach in NBA history but the first full-time coach. This also makes her the first full-time female coach in any of the four major professional sports in North America. This story is big on so many levels and it comes at just the right time with Hammon announcing her retirement from the WNBA after this season. Good for her, good for the San Antonio Spurs, HOOPS HOOPS HORRAY!
