Here's how you can get involved:
The Fairway Network has included community involvement as part of the core philosophy since its founding 21 years ago. This year, they have chosen to work with The Kids Golf Foundation. The Kids Golf Foundation is dedicated to bringing the sport of golf into the lives of children and providing them with opportunities for personal growth and career enhancement. We invite you to join us for our Fairway Friends Open at Village LInks of Glen Ellyn on July 12th. A portion of each event fee is being donated to The Kids Golf Foundation. The event is open to guests, spouses and friends. Cost is $95 and includes greens fees, bucket of range balls, prizes and appetizers after the round. Tee times start at 11 a.m.
Another way to get involved is by participating in their October 4th, Thinking Outside The Tee Box Event being held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, IL (site of the 2009 Solheim Cup competition) so not only can you support the kids, you get to play the course that hosted the Solheim Cup! The event is focused on young girls (age range 11-17) who have completed the SNAG and Tee level Clinic directed and funded by Kids Golf Foundation. The event includes golf, lunch and many additional interactive activities between business women and junior golfers. It is as much (or more) about life as it is about golf.
To be considered for participation in this event, volunteers should fill out a Business Professional Form - Contact the Kids Golf Foundation at (630) 466-0913 or email@example.com if you are interested in getting involved!
The form asks for a summary of your professional background, how golf has impacted your career and personal life and some of your hobbies. Mentors will be paired with young golfers who have the similar interests. Golf ability is secondary and mentors do not need to be great in golf. Forms are due by August 4, 2014.
We encourage you join us on July 12 as a guest or sign up as a member and enjoy several golf opportunities at great golf courses with a great group of women.
