Not much vintage at First Friday, but definitely a couple throw-backs

If you didn't dress up for the MCA's First Friday last week, that's okay. They provided plenty of items to snazz-up your look.

A adult-style dress up station provided some rather interesting items, including a giant papier mache head and a Lady Gaga-esque geometric headpiece. Downstairs, guests explored a craft table replete with pipe cleaners, pompoms and glue guns to create their own accessories. Several guests were more than up to the challenge, including one woman with an elaborate black headpiece that looked like a fabulously nightmarish Tim Burton creation.

Another table featured dainty ladies' hats and headbands, which seemed like updated versions of the elaborate looks of the 40s and 50s. The local designers weren't shy about you wearing their pieces around -- guests were allowed to take a few turns around the event to show off their plumage.

Check out the photos below for the styles and creative looks at this month's First Friday.
