It's like Antiques Roadshow, only cooler. Gucci and Christie's have rolled out the Gucci Collector presented by Christie's, an online assessment program that allows you to send in information and photos about your vintage Gucci item, and Christie's will appraise it for you sans charge. Then, you can either sell the piece back to Gucci or auction it off at Christie's.
Though it is painful to imagine parting with a Gucci anything, even the elite are admitting that times are tough. If it comes down to giving up a handbag in exchange for your evening SpaghettiO's, at least Christie's and the House of Gucci are there to help.
If you have anything you'd like to sell, complete an application at Christie's Gucci page. You should get your results in 2-4 weeks. And if you don't feel like auctioning off that purse, I'd be happy to take it off your hands for you. Just the kind of girl I am.

You might have your headline writer check his a** from his assessments. Especially if you are talking Gucci!
