Fall Attractions in the Wisconsin Dells

So maybe your Wisconsin Dells summer getaway just isn't going to happen. No big deal -- there are plenty of upcoming events that will make a fall trip to the Dells worthwhile. Here are some fall highlights to mark on your calendar.

  • Wo-Zha-Wa Days. From September 13-15, Downtown Wisconsin Dells marks the end of summer with this huge festival named for the Ho-Chunk phrase "to have fun". Event highlights include carnival rides, food stands, sidewalk sales, an arts, antiques and crafts fair, and other festivities culminate with the Wo-Zha-Wa parade on Sunday.
  • Autumn Harvest Fest. Visitors can enjoy all that a Wisconsin harvest season has to offer on October 18-20  at the annual Autumn Harvest Fest. Events include: craft fair, clowns for the kids, straw dig, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin decorating, Kid's Cookie Corner, petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, caricatures and face painting. Mom and Dad will love the live entertainment a microbrew beer tasting.
  • Haunted Hay Rides and Haunted Corn Maze. On Friday and Saturday evenings in October, visitors can enjoy the fall colors with family and friends! You can also participate in pony rides and guided trail rides.
  • Autumn Weekend Family Camp.  Upham Woods's Family Camp Weekends are places where families play, laugh and grow together in the spectacular beauty of the natural Wisconsin Dells.  Enjoy land and water activities, yummy meals each day, campfires, camp crafts, family adventures and more! Families have the option of a stay full of adventure, relaxation or a little of both. Autumn Family Camp Weekend takes place Oct. 19-20.
