On Saturday, October 29th, Chicago-area families can take advantage of a fun and educational opportunity at the always-fabulous Art Institute of Chicago. All are welcome at a celebration of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights!
Attendees can create a work of art inspired by Indian traditions at activity stations throughout the Ryan Education Center, including the Little Studio for the youngest visitors (ages 3–5). Guests will also be able to enjoy dance workshops led by Kalapriya Dance at 11:00, 1:00, and 2:00. or visit the galleries of Southeast Asian art on a guided tour.
Plan to drop in for these activities between 10:30 and 3:00. The programs are free and for all ages. No registration is required. Note that visitors under the age of 14 are always free at the Art Institute.
