So here we are -- in the month of September already. So long summer and welcome fall! The Wisconsin Dells area has lots of family-friendly events coming up in the next few weeks. I wanted to mention a few of them to you so you will be in-the-know when you are planning your fall getaways.
- Wo-Zha-Wa Days. From September 16-18, Downtown Wisconsin Dells marks the end of summer with this huge festival named for the Ho-Chunk phrase "to have fun". Event highlights include carnival rides, food stands, sidewalk sales, an arts, antiques and crafts fair, and other festivities culminate with the Wo-Zha-Wa parade on Sunday.
- Autumn Harvest Fest. Visitors can enjoy all that a Wisconsin harvest season has to offer on Octboer 15-16 at the annual Autumn Harvest Fest. Events include: craft fair, clowns for the kids, straw dig, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin decorating, Kid's Cookie Corner, petting zoo, hayrides, pony rides, caricatures and face painting. Mom and Dad will love the live entertainment a microbrew beer tasting on Saturday.
- Haunted Halloween at Red Ridge Ranch Riding Stable. From September 24 through October 30, visitors can enjoy the fall colors with family and friends! Daily activities include an inflatable moon walk, pumpkin painting, hay maze, corn maze, petting zoo, hay rides & campfires: (from 10 am - 5 pm). Haunted Hay Rides & Haunted Corn Maze take place on the following dates: Oct 7-8, Oct 14-15, Oct 21-22, Oct 28-29: Starting Oct 7 from 6 pm - 10 pm. Horse Drawn Hay Rides to Pumpkin Patch are available from 11am until 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays only.
- Haunted Nights at the Park at Mt. Olympus. During the weekends throughout October, Mt. Olympus features some spooky fun for the whole family. Visit the website to see more details.
