Member National Authorities, Do You Hear Me Now?...on Guanabara Bay?

How do you know who reads your writing on the internet? You don't. To assure that the people who can influence a change on the venue in Rio receive this message, I collected the email addresses of the 140 leaders of the Member National Authorities of the International Sailing Federation (list below) and directly emailed to them on April 21, 2015 with this message:
-----------------------
Dear Fellow Sailors:
We all have learned that Guanarbara Bay for the 2016 Olympic Sailing Games have not met the target of either being sanitary, or being clear of garbage in order to provide a fair field of play.
It is not too late for you to speak up, have your voice heard and have the Sailing Games moved to a different venue elsewhere in the country of Brazil. Please speak up on behalf of the sailors, race officials, and coaches who must come in contact with the fetid and debris filled waters.
- While the Olympic Movement desires the most incredible specimen of strength, agility and talent that the human body can perform, it has made it clear that certain drugs are banned (WADA). However, for sailing athletes to go to Guanabara Bay, they must take a plethora of drugs in order to combat the disease present. This is counter-intuitive. Athletes should not have to take drugs in order to compete. See - http://www.chicagonow.com/sail-lake-michigan/2015/04/2016-rio-olympic-sailing-drug-ban-hypocrisy/
Please voice your opinions and make the call that Guanabara Bay is no longer an acceptable venue.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Glenn T. McCarthy
