New Hawk Chris Campoli HAD a hot girlfriend

When the Blackhawks traded for Ottawa’s Chris Campoli Monday, they ALMOST acquired some new eye candy for the United Center.  His ex-girlfriend, Gia Allemand, is attractive.  Apparently, they broke up last year.  Oh well.  It doesn’t really matter.  I’ll stop talking and get to the pics.  You’re welcome.   Not that it matters, but she was... Hawks send their Skille to South Beach

Pacan was recently dismissed from the University of Vermont hockey program for violating the student-athlete code of conduct
It was only a matter of time.  Jack Skille just wasn’t working out.  It could have been a lack of a real chance, he could just be a bust.  Either way, he’s the Florida Panther’s enigma now.  Right before Wednesday’s puck drop in Edmonton, the Blackhawks traded Skille, along with Rockford wingers Hugh Jessiman and... Someone wake up Stan Bowman...panic time is now

Lifeless, listless, sackless.  These are common themes of the Blachawks 2010-11 season.  Last night’s game in Calgary, which was as close to a “must win” as you can get, was another example of the Hawks infection of suckitude.  Something needs to change.  It’s become clear that the Blackhawks, as currently constructed, aren’t a playoff team,... These ain't your Blackhawk Cup Champs

With three minutes left in last night’s game in Colorado, the Blackhawks had a 5-4 lead over the Avalanche…and like that, it was gone.  Another blown lead from the defending Cup champs.  Another game spent chasing the opponent’s lead.  Another game that leaves Hawk fans searching for answers at the final horn.  The Hawks are... Blackhawks sign former Oiler Fernando Pisani

Not 24 hours after I write the “Hawks are likely done dealing” blog, they make me look dumb and make another move.  According to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug, the Blackhawks have signed RW Fernando Pisani to a $500,000, one way contract. Pisani suffers from ulcerative colitis and has missed significant time while battling the disease.  His... Read more »

Tough offseason could finally be over for Hawk fans

Monday, the Blackhawks officially announced the one year re-signing of defenseman Nick Boynton, likely putting an end to the roller coaster ride that was the 2010 offseason.  The second the Blackhawks lifted the Stanley Cup, everyone knew there would be changes, but no one could have expected this. The combination of salary cap restrictions and... Read more »

Turco may be better option for Blackhawks, regardless of Niemi ruling

As we all wait nervously for the announcement of Antti Niemi’s arbitration ruling this afternoon, rumors of a deal for another goaltender surfaced yesterday afternoon. The Score in Canada, along with other hockey sources, said that the Blackhawks have a one year, $1.5 million contract agreed to with former Stars goalie Marty Turco, should the... Read more »

Adam Burish signs with Dallas Stars

Hawks winger and fan favorite Adam Burish has signed with the Dallas Stars.  The Hawks failed to tender him an offer, and he was signed as an unrestricted free agent.  Burish had 4 points in 18 regular season games last season for the Hawks, and was held scoreless in 15 playoff games.

Hawks deal Byfuglien, Eager, and Sopel to Atlanta

It’s a day we all knew was coming.  The Hawks are in cap hell, and people had to go.  Well, the first chips have fallen today. The Blackhawks have dealt Dustin Byfuglein, Ben Eager, Brent Sopel and Akim Aliu to Atlanta in exchange for the 24th overall pick at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, the... Read more »
