Hawks smoked, Bickell injured in Colorado

Hawks smoked, Bickell injured in Colorado
This is certainly not the start the Blackhawks wanted to their annual circus trip.  Early on, it looked like the Hawks were going to put the upstart Avs in their place.  An absolutely dominant powerplay for the Hawks had Colorado chasing them around their zone, but an odd bounce off the boards changed the game... Blackhawks acquire Versteeg, prospect for Hayes, Olsen

10 players to watch this Blackhawks pre-season

Teuvo Teravainen - Teravainen was the Blackhawks 1st round pick (18th overall) in the 2012 draft. A year in Finland will help him add a little size, which he will need before taking part in an 82 game + NHL season. He'll be here soon enough...but take an early look while you can.
With the Chicago Blackhawks making their televised preseason debut Thursday night, many fans will be getting their first glimpse of the team.  While many of the core pieces remain intact, there three or four starting roster spots available.  These young Blackhawks have a chance to make the roster this season. Thanks to blackhawks.nhl.com and NHLPA.com... Read more »

Hawks' depth keeps team rolling right along

Hawks' depth keeps team rolling right along
How do you write about a team that’s doing everything right? It seems like it would be easy, but it’s really not. You see, when a team is bad (like the Bears), there are so many things to nit pick, dissect, over analyze, and obsess about. With the Blackhawks, the biggest bit of controversy is... Read more »
