Rozsival latest Hawk to sign with Euro club

First, it was winger Michael Frolik.  Now, newly signed Hawks defenseman Michal Rozsival has commited to play with Pizen of the Czech Extraliga.

Rozsival, who signed a one year deal with the Blackhawks on September 11th, recorded 13 points in 54 regular season games with the Phoenix Coyotes last season.

Look for other Hawks, like Viktor Stalberg and Niklas Hjalmarsson to sign Euro deals before too long.

Players defecting to Europe hasn't done much to speed up negotiations between the NHL and NHLPA.  This week, Red Wing Dan Cleary said the lockout could last an entire  season or more.  For every glimmer of hope, there's 2-3 slaps back to reality.   Hockey fans need to get ready for a long lockout.  If they play a game by Thanksgiving, I think it will be an upset.
