While the lockout is chug, chug, chugging along, many NHL players have signed temporary contracts in Europe. So far, only two Blackhawks, Michael Frolik and Michal Rozsival, have signed deals...both in the Czech league.
Frolik has played in two games with HC Chomutov since signing his deal. He has registered a goal and an assist, and carries a +2 rating.
Rozsival, who signed with HC Skoda Pizen, has yet to play in a game.
Other Hawks, including Viktor Stalberg, are expected to sign with European teams. Last week, Stalberg began working out with Frolunda of the Swedish league, but according to his agent, he's only working out with the club for the time being.
I'll keep Hawks fans updated on how Blackhawk players are performing while the lockout remains in place. Let's hope I don't have to write too many of these.
