Dudley joins Bergevin in Montreal

Former Blackhawks Assistant GM Rick Dudley has agreed to join the Montreal Canadiens as their Assistant GM.

Most recently, Dudley was the Director of Player Personnel for the Toronto Maple Leafs.  In joining the Canadiens, he will work along side current Habs GM Marc Bergevin, who served as the Hawks Assistant GM last season.

Dudley left the Blackhawks in April of 2010 to accept the GM job of the Atlanta Thrashers.  He is credited with the acquisition of Andrew Ladd, the drafting of Dustin Byfuglien, and the signing of Assistant Coach John Torchetti.  All three were major players in the Blackhawks 2010 run to the Stanley Cup.
