Toews involved in downtown car accident

Toews involved in downtown car accident

This morning around 10am, a story surfaced on Selfish-indulgence.com that Blackhawks' captain Jonathan Toews was involved in a car accident.  His Mercedes struck an "L" train support beam on the intersection of Lake and Garvey, which is in the area of the parking garage where Toews resides.

Though various eyewitness reports and Chicago police information, I can confirm that Toews was indeed involved in the accident. Eyewitnesses say Toews left the scene in an ambulance, though the Blackhawks deny that report.  According to Chicago Police, it is NOT protocol to take a victim away in an ambulance regardless of medical state.  Regardless, all reports have Toews unhurt.  Witnesses were even asking Toews for his autograph before police interfered.

Stay tuned to this blog, 670 AM, and 670thescore.com for more information as it becomes available.

  • You said yesterday that he had a concussion, so maybe he shouldn't have been driving. Apparently the police did not give the L support a citation.

And apparently Toews doesn't drive what Kane does, if both are supposedly driving Chevys.
