Not 24 hours after I write the "Hawks are likely done dealing" blog, they make me look dumb and make another move.
According to TSN's Ryan Rishaug, the Blackhawks have signed RW Fernando Pisani to a $500,000, one way contract.
Pisani suffers from ulcerative colitis and has missed significant time while battling the disease.
His most memorable career run came in 2006, when the Edmonton Oilers reached the Stanley Cup Finals. He scored 14 goals in those playoffs, but was never able to recapture the scoring touch.
If healthy, Pisani will provide solid depth and penalty killing for the Blackhawks this season.
With this signing, one has to wonder just how much faith Stan Bowman and his staff have in Kyle Beach, who was expected to battle for a roster spot this season.
This signing also reignites the talk of the Hawks possibly looking to deal Tomas Kopecky, who after being a non factor for much of the regular season, had a terrific playoff run for the Hawks this spring.

Hawks can not trade Kopecky , he and Hossa have always worked well together even when they were in Detroit , Kopecky has a great wrist shot and he is tough. He will be even better playing on a line with Sharp and Hossa.
Kopecky's a FA after the season. He doesn't have a long-term future with the team anyway.
I'm not calling for Kopecky to be traded, but if Beach is ready, than I wouldn't have a problem with it.
