Last night on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada Hot Stove segment, hockey insider Pierre LeBrun said that Blackhawk forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are, "very close...(to) signing long term extensions with the Chicago Blackhawks," and something could be announced within the next few weeks.
It will be interesting to see what the number will be. If Stan Bowman can somehow bring back Kane and Toews without losing Duncan Keith, he's a wizard. It's easier said than done however.
If Kane and Toews get market value contracts, Keith might be the odd man out. If they both took a hometown discount, there's a chance Keith could return.
We'll see how it shakes out if / when the deals are announced.

No chance Duncan is the odd man out...maybe Sharp, but no way they leave DK out of the mix. They'll find a way to keep him.
