When Dr. Neff and I decided to work with Phentermine as my drug of choice, she suggested that I check out the side effects first. Well, doing all the research on side effects was giving me a headache, so to give you a brief heads up before you decide to try Phentermine, here are a few pf the side effects I found.
Let me tell you, I got almost everything listed under cardiovascular except the high blood pressure since I was already on medication for that, the central nervous system, the dry mouth and the change in libido. I felt at times like my heart was racing, about to beat out of my chest at times. I would feel like I needed to be doing something at all times, but then would get the feeling like I was coming down from the euphoric high I was getting and id not want to do shit. This is when I would be on the couch thinking "I should get up and do that load of laundry I have been needing to do," and then I would do nothing!
Do not get me wrong, when I got motivated to do something I would do it and it would be done right, but there were times I just felt i needed to be lazy and not do a thing since I have been on the run from 7am in the morning until I get home from work or the chiropractors office anywhere between 730 and 830 pm. Many nights I have skipped dinner because it was far too late to be eating, or I would have a snack. Safe things I could snack on were mixed nuts, almonds, protein bar, salad, just no carbs at all.
The insomnia, the attention span of a gnat and the anxiety I was getting while bowling were so bad I would skip taking the Phentermine on Tuesdays so I could focus while bowling. If I take my meds I would be so antsy and jittery I would fuck up so bad and feel terrible that I ruined the chances of winning. Sorry but winning a game is more important then skipping the one pill. Also it is not going to throw my body into a tizzy if I skipped one dose.
I also tend to forget to take my medication on the weekends, not all the time, so I do not feel like I am going through withdrawals and my body does not act any different then when I do take the pills.
The interesting thing now is I am on the 37.5 mg, that is available, I actually feel calmer and less antsy then when I was on the 30 mg. Amazing what a small bump would do to a person. I'm not saying you will have the same effects, but you could, as we all know medications of any type tends to effect a person differently.
Part 5 will be about the effect I get hiking in Hong Kong. It does boost your energy after all.
