Yeah, so here I am seven years later writing my first blog post, a spin-off from the Real Housewives Of Hinsdale Facebook page which gained popularity by accident (thank you Chicago Tribune). I am the original creator and I want to remain anonymous to protect my privacy and my family's privacy.
Some of you may ask, “why start a blog now?" For one thing, my kids are now older so the crazy busy days of shuffling kids to sports, doctor appointments and tutors, volunteering at school, complaining about mountains of laundry and late night trips to Walgreens for supplies for school projects due the next day, driving my kids to school in pajamas and running into the school office with Phyllis Diller hair in pajamas with forgotten lunches have all come to an end which at first was a bit of an adjustment but now I’m embracing the new calm and focusing on “ME”, which means getting caught up on medical exams/tests that I’ve put off because I was too busy (I know, that’s bad), traveling with my wonderful amazing husband (he truly is all that!), enjoying time with our adult children who now live their own crazy busy lives, doing volunteer work that truly makes me happy meeting new people and making new friends along the way and now it’s time for more fun!
That being said, the RHOH Facebook page was fun when it first debuted back in 2011 but over the years it has gradually turned into a community page with mostly news flashes, opinion corner and ads. Thanks to the "everyone’s offended by everything" movement the page has lost its "edge" and that took all the fun out of poking fun at life in Hinsdale.
Let’s cut to the chase, I’m starting a blog and I get paid in Amazon gift cards. So don’t expect good grammar, censorship and well behaved women because I’m telling it like it is! The GOOD, the BAD and the FUNNY stuff!
