Time (and Real Estate) Marches On!

The Melinda Jakovich Team has thoroughly meshed in with Prudential Rubloff after almost 6 months, and our move has been very successful. Pru Rubloff is having an amazing year and we are happy to be part of it – Pru Rubloff has just 14 offices in the Chicago Metro area yet in February we wrote $275 million is real estate business versus $154 million for the same month in 2012. This is an mind-boggling 80% increase!

I was given the privilege to list the luxury rental at 1815 South Prairie Avenue, we restaged the loft at 1017 West Washington and it looks more beautiful than ever, the gourmet Kitchen is shown above, and the marvelous townhome I was listing at 408 East North Water sold after a very short time on the market!

I continue to be amazed at the vibrancy of the South Loop! There is a new local brewery and restaurant called the Broad Shoulders Brewery going in to the Motor Row district that should be opening in the July timeframe, just in time for Summer. Also, if issues regarding parkland can be resolved there might be a new branch of the British School coming to the land just North of the Icon Theaters!

February is one of my favorite months, with Valentine’s day in the middle and my Birthday coming at the end of the month. I am so grateful for the nice friendships I have made through my real estate business, and a nice couple of friends/clients took me out for a tremendous Birthday dinner last week, then another couple who started as clients and are now dear friends invited me to come to their home in Naples Florida. It was so nice to get away after that big snow last week!

Finally, I recently completed a full set of enhancements to my website, MelindaJakovich.com, with nice links to some of my favorite buildings and an updated biography reflecting my move to Pru Rubloff. Feel free to take a look! Jakovich Team Website
