Well I am into my third week as a proud Prudential Rubloff agent! So far it is going well, I recently listed a beautiful Penthouse unit on the Near West Side at 1017 West Washington. I love outdoor terraces, and this one has a beauty covering a large slice of the roof of the building! Just take a look!
The West Loop and Near West Side are doing well! I was the lead Agent for CA23 when it was first starting, and now they have finally sold the building out. I sold several units at the 850 W. Adams building, shown above, one of the first loft projects in the entire area, and even now whenever there is a unit for sale there it tends to go quickly.
Yes, there are still some concerns with the future of the Harpo Studios site, but just look at the positive press surrounding the imminent opening of the new Mariano’s Fresh Market at Monroe and Halsted, assisted in its development by a subsidy from the City of Chicago. Above is a depiction of how it will look from Halsted Street.
I recently went to the Randolph Street Market, held only three times a year in River West. It is a temporary Mecca of eclectic temptations, like vintage designer purses, old jewelry, striking and original clothing, and other curiosities. I swear it has an almost Parisian or Roma flavor, and the time flies as you go from merchant to merchant.
Finally, I’m tipping my hat to JMB Realty for believing in Chicago and moving forward with development of new Rental high rises in the downtown area. I am especially looking out for two recent buildings, at 765 W. Adams and the corner of Madison and Racine, shown above. They show that the market is coming back and that Chicago is still a very attractive place to live.
I love this City!
