The Four Seasons Hotel, Chicago's Five Star Standout - and the Air Show!

Chicago’s hospitality to the discerning traveler was greatly enhanced in March of 1989 with the opening of the fabulous, Five Star, Four Seasons Chicago.

This impressive structure is 66 stories tall, and rates as the 7th tallest building in Chicago and the 25th tallest building in the United States.  How can a 66 story building be tall enough to rate so highly? – maybe it has something to do with the stately high ceilings found in the sumptuous hotel rooms as well as the residences in the building!  The impressive base fits right in to the bustle of the Gold Coast!

And the Views – well they have to be seen to be believed.

Speaking of stately residences – a little know fact is that only 19 of the 66 floors are Hotel rooms.  The other 47 floors contain some of the most elegant residences in town!  I am taking in more and more facts about the structure since I was fortunate enough to recently take on a listing in the Four Seasons, unit 5801.

My affinity with the Four Seasons goes back a long way, I worked in the past with the President of the Four Seasons operations for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.  The picture above shows off the exquisite tilework on the pool of the Four Seasons Istanbul, exotically perched on the shores of the Bosphorus.

I look forward to seeing the smiles on the faces of prospective buyers as they come through the home and realize they have walked into one of the premier locations in all of Chicago!

Speaking of tall buildings, people in Chicago’s high rises are scrambling for rooftop perches for this weekend, when the Chicago Air and Water show comes rumbling into town!  Over five hours of the most exciting aerial splendors ever seen.  I hope you all have some time to take it in this weekend!
