North Chicago cat hoarding situation: Rescues and funds needed

A few years back, a generous cat lover in North Chicago stepped up to help a few cats in need. Unfortunately, the number grew and grew as more and more cats came into his care and the number of cats got out of control. At the end of last year, North Chicago Animal Control was called in to help with what had turned into a North Chicago cat hoarding situation. They have been in need of rescues to help rehome the cats and funds to pay for medical care.

North Chicago started out helping rescue 80 cats and the number is now well over 100. Some cats had some severe health issues and a fundraising page has been set up to help defray the costs. North Chicago Animal Control is an open access shelter that does not offer pets up for adoption. Many cats have made there way to rescues but other rescues and fosters are needed to help. Contact  -

    Raining Cats and Dogs

I am a crazy cat lady and puppy mill warrior that blogs to advocate and educate about pet issues. In American animal controls, millions of pets are abandoned each year and an estimated 4 million die just because there are not enough homes. It truly seems like it’s Raining Cats and Dogs.
