Chicago pet events for this weekend

It’s been a crazy week and I’ve been a little lax in getting this list up of the Chicago pet events. Spring has sprung and there are quite a few great events this weekend. If you’re in the city, there is still time to check out Purrhibition tonight and get the skinny on Tree House’s new shelter.

The Chicago Pet Show is on in the Oak Lawn Pavilion. There are adoption events and so much more. So, forget about doing the yard this weekend and go out and support Chicago’s homeless pets.

Friday, April 25

Chicago – Transport yourself back to the days of flappers and gangsters with some Jazz, Gin and more at Purrhibition to support the cats of Tree House. The event is from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Room 13 Speakeasy at the Old Chicago Inn at 3222 N. Sheffield Avenue. Celebrate Purrhibition with some signature cocktails and get the skinny on the new shelter in the work for Tree House Humane Society. Tickets are here.

Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27

    Raining Cats and Dogs

I am a crazy cat lady and puppy mill warrior that blogs to advocate and educate about pet issues. In American animal controls, millions of pets are abandoned each year and an estimated 4 million die just because there are not enough homes. It truly seems like it’s Raining Cats and Dogs.
