Chicago pet events for this weekend

A spa night, a little Zumba to warm your bum some animal magnetism and a fun bowling event are just a few of the events this weekend planned to support animal rescue. And yes, there are adoption events as well. Check out this weekend's Chicago pet events below.

Friday, February 28

Paws Animal Magnetism

Chicago – Join PAWS Chicago for the Eight Annual Animal Magnetism celebration at Galleria Marchetti at 825 West Erie Starting at 7 p.m. to Midnight. The pet-friendly event includes open bar, dinner, a doggie buffet, dancing and silent auction. Advance tickets may be purchased here for $125 per person and $25 per pet. Tickets will be $150 per person the night of event if available.

Evergreen Park - Join Triple R Pets and their volunteers at the Bringin' Sassy Back Spa Night from 6 to 10 p.m. at Join Triple R Pets' volunteers at their table on Spa Night at Immanuel United Church of Christ at 9815 S. Campbell Avenue. There will be some great items for cats, jewelry and spay type items for people and so much more.

Saturday, March 1


St. John, Indiana – 2x2 Rescue holds an adoption event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Hungry Hound Boutique and Grooming at 8243 Wicker Avenue and 5151 81st in Hobart.

Chicago – Meet the adoptable dogs from Found Chicago at at Doggy Style at 2023 W. Division Street from noon until 3 p.m. Meet the trainers for dog training advice.


All Chicago-area Chili’s – Through June 1, present a voucher from here when dining at Chicago-area Chili’s and It’s a Pittie rescue will receive 10 percent of sales (not including tax or gratuity) at the Chili’s Give Back Nights. It’s a Pittie only receives credit when these vouchers are presented.

Mardi Gras for Paws

Merrionette Park – Join the Animal Welfare League for the Third Annual Mardi Cause 4 Paws from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Bourbon Street at 3359 West 115th Street. All ages welcome. Adoptable pets, prizes for best masks, auction and more.Tickets are $45 for adults and $30 for children. Learn more here.

Sunday, March 2

Chicago – Blow off some of that winter steam with a Zumbathon to benefit Found Chicago at Mixed Motion Art at 2412 W. North Avenue. Tickets at $20. The event runs from 2 to 4 p.m.

Oak Brook - It's time to hit the lanes with It's a Pittie for a fun day at the 2nd Annual Bowling for Bullies from 4 to 6 p.m. at PinStripes. Check in is at 3:30. Tickets are $40 per adult and $20 for kids and it includes bowling, shoes, bottomless pizza, salad and soft drinks. Purchase advance tickets here.
