My yoga teacher is leaving us to pursue a new career. We loved her and wanted to give her some wine as a good bye gift. I volunteered to create the bag. I happen to collect old shirts of my husband. Whether they are stained, worn or don't fit right I keep them to make a quilt, some day. I know I won't need the sleeves so they are available for other projects.
Years ago I had seen a bottle of wine in an old denim shirt sleeve at a gift store. I knew I could do something like that. I went through the shirts and picked two that looked good next to each other.
Take a look on how to create a fast and easy upcycled bottle gift bag. Besides cutting and pressing there is about 8 inches of sewing per bag.
Easy! Fun! Free and good for the earth.
Take a look at the process and then make your own bag. All you need is a bottle to put in it.
