I think you may have gathered that I had a spectacular experience in Oregon. I really enjoyed myself the entire time we were there. There were quilts up in nearly every business we visited during that week. There were quilts, many of them actually, at our hotel. And obviously there were quilts in town for the show, some 1500 of them. That's a lot of quilts.
What I loved was the setting, the involvement and the sheer immersion of being in the land of quilts. I gathered some of my favorite scenes and quilts from the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and put them into this gallery. I wanted to give you the sense of the abundance of quilts and quilt lovers that were present that day.
Look at the crowds, the families and everyone's sheer enjoyment of the quilts. Those 1500 quilts go up Saturday morning and start coming down at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon. It is a herculean task made possible by the whole town supporting this effort.
I hope you feel the joy!
