DIY How to make a darling Christmas Stocking Tutorial

I have a brand new grandson and you know what that means, I have to make him everything I ever made for Zara. How do people do it with bunches of Grandchildren? Hopefully, they are spaced out so you can have steady projects!

As you know, I have already made him a couple of quilts which he loves. He also has a quilt here and now the boy needs a stocking. I made him one and just finished it.

I decided to take pictures all along the way so you will know how to make a darling Christmas stocking. However, the darling is truly at the end where you get to see Henry admiring his stocking. Hey, I'm a giddy Grandma, what can I say?

Materials:

  • 2 yards body fabric
  • Scraps for decorations
  • Embroidery floss
  • 1.5 yards of batting
  • Needle, pins, scissors and thread
  • Sewing machine
  • A jolly person who needs a stocking
  • Stocking to trace - I used this one.  Also available here.

Have fun making your own or at least learning how to if you ever decide you need new stockings.

Sew happy!

Is this my only post about stockings? I wrote one also when I made Zara's, check it out. It shows the stocking but not as much of a tutorial.
