Great Mail Day

We were away on vacation for 10 days so all of our mail was delivered today. Yippee! I adore snail mail, I even send it. Yes! Our mail came in a big bin and wow, what a great mail day.

mail re 1We got tons of junk mail that I quickly recycled. But we had a few sweet notes, some catalogs we actually liked and some fun Quilt magazines.

But the quilt magazines were not the end of the great mail day because this was a great quilt mail day. I received 3 packages in particular that I want to brag tell you about.

I got a big box from Wawak Sewing. A while back they sent me an email about my blog and their site. I perused their products and expressed an interest in 5 items.Mail re 5

They sent me 3 of them for free. (Darn it, I was greedy and wanted them all.) I got a pillow form, 18 by 18 inches, fabric glue and flat head pins.

I had actually already gotten a pillow form so now I will have to make another pillow, cool. I plan on trying out these pins so you might see them in future blog posts. They look great.

mail re 2And the fabric glue? I am thinking it will be terrific for Z's Halloween costume. I just wanted to disclose that I did not pay for these items.

I also received a huge box of fabric from The Fabric Society. 10 different licensed fabrics. I cannot wait to use them all.

The Fabric Society had also written me an email about collaboration and I picked out 10 fabrics. They sent them all to me. Every single one!

My husband is in LOVE with the Walking Dead fabric so that will probably be the first project I work on. I just want to be above board and let you know that I got all of this for zero dollars. Stay tuned for projects using them all.

If the Cubs keep doing well that may be the first project I make. Or will that jinx it? Maybe I will wait and see how the season ends. (Fingers crossed.)Mail re 4

I also got a big fat envelope with the t-shirts I pre-ordered from Stately Type that I had tried to win on Instagram.  I didn't win them but I did score a 20% discount and free shipping.

I think they are a hoot plus very comfy. I am a fool for Quilt t-shirts and these are my current faves. I am wearing one now and pre-ordered one for Halloween.

Don't you just love my great mail day? I think I will go watch the Cubs and look at my quilt magazines. On the commercials I can design and imagine my upcoming projects.

A little ice cream might go well with all that, don't you agree?

Sew happy!
