I am pretty darn excited because today I am going to QuiltCon. I get to fly in a plane and I paid extra for additional leg room. I am staying in a nice hotel room and I hope to meet up with some interesting people at the show. I have never gone before but I am willing to relish and enjoy all that I encounter. QuiltCon 2015 Here I come!
Are you curious what I will be doing? Me too! I looked up my schedule. Here it is.
You will notice that quite a few of my requests are marked waitlist. Oh well, it's fine. I am sure I will find other things to do to amuse myself.
I have also heard that there will be merchants there. Oh no! I hope I don't have to fill free time with shopping. The horror!
You may also notice that I have nothing scheduled for the weekend, I want to see and enjoy Austin before I fly home on Sunday. I have long wanted to visit Austin so I am very excited about getting a glimpse of it.
Plus, there's the weather. Let's compare the two cities, Austin and Chicago. I looked up their weather forecasts for the five days I will be in Austin.
Hmm, which five days look more appealing to you? If you live somewhere warm you may not be impressed. I, on the other hand, do NOT live somewhere warm. A little break from the cold is sounding good to me. (Where will I go for the rest of winter?)
Let's recap my coming trip. I get to NOT cook and not do any housework for five days. I get to see a new city. I may meet some cool folks. I will undoubtedly learn new things.
There will be fabric. And gadgets. And warmth!
Now do you get why I am so excited? If you are going to be there also email me at QuiltingSewingCreating@gmail.com and maybe we can buy some fabric together!
Or just enjoy the weather.
