7 Reasons Why Thank You Notes Rock

I make presents, I buy presents and I give cash or gift cards. Most of my gifts I give to the recipient in person and they thank me. I do the same thing. Other times I give the present through the mail or leave it for a person. When I then get thanked in writing it warms my heart and makes me want to give this person more in the future. This is just one of the reasons why Thank You Notes Rock.

This year gave a very generous cash gift to my hair dresser and a modest one to my newspaper delivery person. I have not heard back from my hair dresser and I love her to pieces but boy, a note would be nice.

Inside the envelope was a hand made thank you note. Did you catch that? Hand made! See the cute details added? There was thought put into this note before I even opened it.ty note 1

When I did open it, it got even better. There were more stamps and a personalized note. She addressed what I had written and included in the note!

This made my day, absolutely made my day!

Why does this note rock and engage me so much?

1. It is hand written.

2. It is personalized.

3. It has our names spelled correctly and is specific.

4. It really shows she cares.

5. It is unexpected in today's world!

6. It makes her stand out and seem marvelous.

7. It shows excellent manners and gratitude.

Expressing gratitude is a marvelous quality. It makes the recipient feel good about him or herself. It also makes the recipient feel positive towards you. Plus it is a classy thing to do!

Sure emails and texts are nice also and I often send them before a written note. They sometimes fit the need perfectly. I send them after I've seen someone or we already expressed thanks to each other.

But to really make your thanks hit home, do like Carla did and write it. Put it in an envelope and send it to the person you want to thank. Don't be surprised if they love you forever.

Now I am inspired to go and write my own thank you notes. I will hand write them, using the correct names and specifically show my gratitude.

Thank you notes make me Sew happy!
