I decided I wanted to visit the Quilter's Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana so that is exactly what we did. Last summer we had visited quilt stores in Indianapolis and Amish country twice so I am a fan of what is going on in the Quilt world in Indiana.
I wish that we had combined one of those trips last summer with a visit here. Marion, IN is about 170 miles from our house and the trip took over 3 hours there and 3 hours back. While the house is lovely, it's not really a destination unto itself. It's more of a cool add on when you are in the general vicinity.
In case you are never in the general vicinity I took pictures for a virtual tour. The quilts change every season or so and we saw the AQSG 2012 Study of Colonial Revival Quilts From the Early 20th Century quilts.
What we saw was very nice. The volunteer who worked there was extraordinarily welcoming and gracious. How about if I stop writing about it and you take your own virtual tour.
Seeing quilts on the road makes me Sew happy!
