I think when you go to something new and different, you suddenly feel the need for something special to mark this event. Back in elementary school didn't you get new shoes, underwear and supplies for the first day of school? I still yearn for those items when school ads start appearing. I love new outfits for weddings or fun trips. This week I am going to a Blogging Convention, BlogHer, which is being held right here in Chicago. My husband offered to lend me his Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for taking digital notes and I knew then what I needed, a snazzy place to put it. I just finished it and wanted to share with you this DIY tablet sleeve tutorial. You will love it, for real.
On the pictures I wrote directions, a play by play if you will. In the captions I talk about the step, a color commentary if we are still using the sports broadcasting analogy. Read and look at the pictures as many times as you need to get the main idea. You are basically taking the dimensions of your tablet or device and creating a padded fabric rectangle to surround it. I put pockets on mine plus a strap. It took me about an hour to make and bam, I had my cute sleeve. Good luck making yours!
Figuring out something new like this makes me, wait for it, Sew happy!
