Yellow and grey baby quilt completely done

I finished the baby quilt before I went on the quilt retreat but I didn't want to post it to my blog until today. Emily's wonderful colleagues contacted me and wanted to have a low key shower for her. She had previously said she didn't want any showers as she is too nervous because of last year. But at some point, you have to choose to trust happiness so she said yes to a work shower.

I hurried up and finished the quilt so I could give it to her at the shower. Here is it:

It was so fun to give it to her at such a loving event. She is lucky to have some many wonderful women working with her and caring about her. They gave her generous presents and had magnificent food. She very much appreciated it all.
I used this quilt to celebrate, to say how much I love Emily and Tough cookie. It is saying what the ladies at her job are saying - we love you and want to celebrate this special time in your life. I am so glad I was able to be there with them and have a quilt to celebrate the moment with!

Sew happy!

  • Quilt looks terrific. I am sure that Tough Cookie will have this quilt for many years to come and every time she wraps herself in it she will think of how much her Grandmother loves her.
