Giving the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump would be a cosmic joke.

Trump's been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize?

I'm still scratching my head while I'm blinking my eyes.

If he comes through that doorway

To accept it in Norway,

It would just be a pipe dream he does fantasize.

  • I think there should be a quiz in this case: What did you do to earn this prize?

  • I guess Trump thinks he earned the Nobel Peace Prize partly for ending the war in the Middle East through the accord signed today between Israel on one side and Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on the other. But Palestine was never involved in this process and these two Arab countries were never at war with Israel. Trump and Netanyahu seem to consider this a big deal, but the heads of state of the two Arab countries did not even attend today's celebration. No Camp David Accord this.

Or maybe Trump believes he earned the prize for withdrawing some American troops for Afghanistan and Germany.

If Trump deserves the Nobel for these, he deserves it for negotiating the revised version of NAFTA, which he will claim brought peace to the three countries of North America.

OPD also says he deserves a third term.

I guess it's that, although Jared was supposed to be the one to bring peace to the Middle East.

.There's also he saying that Putin and Kim are smarter than Biden, which confirms Mary's comment that the two are smarter than her uncle, and play him like Grandpa did.Doesn't seem to have deterred Kim, though.

  • Anyone wanting to judge the importance of yesterday's accord could begin by looking at a map of the Arabian Peninsula. First, notice how small UAE and Bahrain are. Then notice that they are both at the opposite end of the peninsula from Israel. UAE is more than 1,600 miles from Israel; Bahrain is more than 1,200. Neither is going to be a major player in bringing peace to Israel.

What these two countries have bargained for is not peace with Israel, but warplanes from the U.S. that they can use against Iran across the Persian Gulf.

  • In reply to jnorto:

Warplanes that they, possibly, could use against Israel itself.

  • I'm not sure about the above, but I have another quandary, related to the fact that we have a psychotic entertainer in the WH. I got an Xfinity Flex box, and tuned into A&E Hoarders. I knew someone who was one, and thus understand it involves mental illness, but should I be entertained by people who have brain injuries, profound psychological issues, or should be institutionalized?

BTW, when I had cable about 26 years ago, A&E stood for Arts and Entertainment, and there was some art, but I guess it is now as though Jerry Springer took over PBS.

If the LOL was to my PBS reference, maybe not so farfetched. I saw a promo for Legacy List by Matt Paxton on channel 11.3. Isn't that the extreme clean out expert on Hoarders? Yes.
