Mueller: Boon or Bust?

Rose-colored spectacles hang on my nose;

Hope in my breast everyday grows and grows.

My glass I see fuller.

Yet as to Bob Mueller,

Will he be the dark cloud without  silver rows?

  • I share your unease. Will Mueller see his role as shining light in the dark places his investigation has explored, or will he see his role as being the consummate bureaucrat in the DOJ?

  • In reply to jnorto:

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. I share both the unease and the hope.

  • In reply to jnorto:

ABC7 Eyewitness News was making a big deal that "the Justice Dept. warned him that he better stick to the report,." From the bits I saw, it looks like he was following that.

  • What is lost here is you continue to chase your tails instead of concentrating on how to actually are going to blow it again...then who will you blame?

  • In reply to Wickdipper:

On the other hand, it appears that the orange carbuncle is appealing to racism to keep his "base." If there is enough of that base to put him over again, they have to take the blame.

  • Here's the essential problem. Mueller saying that it is not DoJ policy to indict a sitting President, implying that it is up to Congress to consider impeachment. Fox News had a banner on the rift between the Democrats, but it turns out that rift was over to impeach him now or later.

  • The bureaucrat sat in the witness seat.

  • In reply to jnorto:

    Was anyone expecting anything different?

  • It may just be my cock-eyed optimism, but I really think Mueller, bureaucrat or not, performed well, while the Republicans, with the exception of Will Hurd, shamelessly attacked him in defense of Trump instead of addressing the report's findings. Which was, of course, to be expected.

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

Republicans: What would one expect from a fascist core? However, it was reported that one asked "can a President be prosecuted after leaving office?" to which the answer was Yes. An orange person put on brown pants, fearing that he may soon be joining his friend Jeff Epstein in Club Fed.

I wonder if the Republicans demanded that Raja be sent back to the country form he came, which is Schaumburg.
