Real Men Don't Watch Super Bowl Commercials

superI would rather risk death in Black Holes.
Or tread on the hottest Hell coals
Than see if an ad
Is the best or quite bad.
For that's not why I watch Super Bowls.

Real men don't write lame rhymes or watch Super Bowl commercials or watch the Super Bowl halftime show.

  • In reply to Deke Rivers:

I defer to an expert on the subject.

  • In reply to Deke Rivers:

I agree on 1 and 3. Didn't some competing network used to have the Lingerie Bowl during halftime?

With 2, there are some commercials that hold one's interest, such as with Bar Rafaeli. Some of the car ads might (like the Chevy Truck getting through the Mayan apocalypse), but according to what Jill Cimnello posted today, not this year.

The real question this year is whether real men will watch the postgame show with GP and the Fergs, featuring Bone Patrol. At least I think that is what they are promoting (also according to TV Guide after your local late news).

  • Watched the whole Super Bowl over webstream of a broadcast from the UK where the advertisements were quite expectedly sane and austere. This internet thing is really useful sometimes!
