Vote: It Is Your Duty, Damn It!

null

"Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves, and the only way they could do this is by not voting."  President Frankllin Delano Roosevelt

As the candidates stump and orate
And appear in a battleground state,
It's now up to you
To vote red or vote blue
For  tomorrow  is always too late.

  • "The truly just is he who feels half guilty of your misdeeds." Kahlil Gibran

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye
the crier to free men subjugated
    come all, even the bigoted
    the ignorant and uneducated.
    duty not choice
    shall give the unwashed might
he then giggles into his chins
for he knows they never vote right.

  • I was among the approximately 285,000 who already voted according to David Orr, so I did my doody, as well as duty.

But apparently FDR didn't hear about the junk that is still going on in Florida. 12 years after screwing up that election, they are back at it again.

  • Well, howdy, doody. Thanks, Jack, for your relevant comment. BTW, if FDR did, he isn't talking.

  • In reply to Aquinas wired:

Unlike LBJ, who endorsed a 10th district candidate on TV.
