Just what the Doctor ordered: Chicago Blackhawks 5, the Wild 2.

Just what the Doctor ordered: Chicago Blackhawks 5, the Wild 2.
The thing about Bolland is this, he seems to do whatever is needed of him when the moment comes calling. There is a gaping hole in goal scoring with Sharp out, and this is when Bolland decides to start putting pucks in the net. Im sure it doesn’t hurt to get those scoreless weights of... Read more »

Everybody wants some, everybody needs some, how bout you? Hawks, Wild and trade stuff.

Everybody wants some, everybody needs some, how bout you? Hawks, Wild and trade stuff.
I have been doing a little reading lately. About the Hawks if you were wondering, which is honestly something I try not to do too much. Writing about them takes enough time out of my life and I try to keep a unique perspective by not allowing others to corrupt it. This reading I am... Read more »

Standing Up: Blackhawks 5, Jackets 2

Standing Up: Blackhawks 5, Jackets 2
Was the performance by the Chicago Blackhawks so much better than others throughout the season? Not really. Was it better than what we have seen lately? Sure. There were maybe a few large differences from what I saw last night when compared to many other games, and not just the missing Patrick Sharp from the... Read more »

Hawks Win!

Hawks Win!
The Hawks broke their little losing streak tonight against the Blue Jackets, as Stalberg netted a hat-trick and his 7th goal against Columbus in only 4 games this year. I will get back to you in the morning with a wrap on the game, but you can pretty much cut-and-paste any of the other wraps... Read more »

Bitter-Sweet: The Wings take the Blackhawks in OT.

Bitter-Sweet: The Wings take the Blackhawks in OT.
Entertaining game I suppose. Lots of action and drama to keep the fans engaged. It’s just a shame how everything worked out. This is honestly one of the best all around defensive efforts that I have seen from the Blackhawks this year, but it still was not enough for 2 points. The result is a 3-way... Read more »

No Drive, No Goals: Chicago Blackhawks 0, Avalanche 4.

No Drive, No Goals: Chicago Blackhawks 0, Avalanche 4.
Where is the battle, where is the coverage, where is the drive, where are the goals, and where my friends is the coaching? There are some hard realities to swallow here. The Hawks seem to be running into other teams who are in playoff mode, and the results are far from promising. Are we seeing the... Read more »

Flyers 5, Hawks 4. Hey Pat, Edzo, Troy, John and Blackhawks website, you can all stop reminiscing now

From start to finish, this was a lot of end to end hockey which, in theory, should have benefited the Hawks. Maybe it’s time for a new theory. Though the Hawks frequently controlled the puck and cycled it, especially at the start of the second period, they just didn’t get the kind of net presence... Read more »

Special teams, senseless plays cost Hawks

First things first, sorry for the late recap, and this will probably be a bit shorter than it needs to be, but there’s two main things that should be discussed from last night’s 4-3 home loss to Edmonton. Of course, the Carcillo hit. Hostile Hawk and I were at the game, and from our vantage... Read more »

The Blackhawks at 35: Conclusion at 38.

The Blackhawks at 35: Conclusion at 38.
I left the “Blackhawks at 35” post with the 2 major points surrounding Consistency and  Preparedness. Both are part of the bigger picture themes involving reasons for concern over the seemingly picture perfect first-half of the season. It was mentioned in this post that the Hawks are on the top looking down, which is a wonderful... Read more »
